On December 23rd, 2023, Life-Givers Missions (LGM) launched its fifth international outreach at Shiabu, Dansoman — and this time, we added something new: a full medical screening component.
By 1 PM, a large and excited crowd had gathered at the school park. Under the distinguished patronage of Nii Faamlitɛ, Chief of Gbegbeyise; Hon. Mrs. Ursula Owusu-Ekuful (MP and Minister for Communications); Hon. George Blay (Municipal Chief Executive); and Assemblyman Daniel Nii Armah Tagoe, the event began following a successful cleanup and sanitation exercise.
Thanks to the leadership of LGM’s Director of Missions and Presec North America Alumni President, Mr. Kofi Opoku, a 20-member strong medical team was assembled. Led by Dr. Gameli Aheto, alongside Dr. Nuamah and Dr. Fobi Adusa-Amankwah, the team provided medical examinations, diagnoses, vital signs checks, and distributed free blood pressure medication and vitamins to the community.
Adding to the special occasion, Bishop Joe and Lady Vicky Kwapong’s daughters — Adrielle, Cheryl, and their cousin Rachel — flew in from Atlanta to assist and help fine-tune the event.
In total, over 1,500 people were served meals, drinks, and the children received toys, filling the air with joy and laughter. The gathering was also an opportunity to share the beautiful story of Christmas with all those present, celebrated with gospel music, cultural performances, and a spirit of merry-making.
This well-coordinated event received high praise from attendees and officials alike, as Life-Givers Missions continued to demonstrate its unwavering commitment to serving the people of Ghana for the third consecutive year.
Special thanks go to Pastor Theo & Rev. Mrs. Dorcas Kwatia (Resident Pastors of New Breed Church Ghana), Pastor Ben Tetteh of Redeemer’s Fountain Church and LGM Ghana, and Mrs. Mina Kumi (SSB Memorial School, Accra) for their excellent coordination and unwavering support.
